About us

The MWC warranty covers manufacturing defects as outlined in our warranty policy. Once we receive your watch and confirm the details from the service request form, we will initiate the necessary repairs. All warranty claims are subject to inspection by the Timepiece Service Center, our primary service agent, with whom we work closely. We also handle some repairs in Switzerland and Germany.

Depending on the nature of the issue, the warranty covers either the repair or, in some cases, the replacement of your watch. If a direct replacement is unavailable, a superior model may be provided. Our service team will determine the best course of action—whether to repair or replace the watch—after a thorough evaluation.

Battery Replacement

Please note that batteries can fail at any time. If your watch is water-resistant, the battery should only be changed by the manufacturer or a professional watchmaker to ensure the seal is checked and renewed if necessary. If you need a battery replacement during the warranty period, we recommend obtaining a receipt from the watchmaker or jeweler. This is useful in case an unrelated warranty claim is needed during the 2-year warranty period. Be sure to ask them to test the water resistance after replacing the battery. If any work is performed by an unqualified party, the warranty will be void. For example, if you change the battery yourself, the watch may no longer be water-resistant.

Warranty Coverage Includes:

  • Movement failure
  • Hands detaching
  • Condensation or flooding in models rated 50m/165ft water-resistant or higher, provided the crown is fully in position
  • Manufacturing defects
  • For Tritium GTLS watches: vials detaching from the dial or hands

Warranty Excludes:

  • Scratched, damaged, or shattered crystal
  • Damaged or broken crown stem, or crown detaching from the case
  • Gouged, scratched, loose, or lost bezels or inserts
  • Damaged or broken strap or bracelet
  • Scratched, gouged, broken, or damaged watch case
  • Loss of strap pins (screw, fixed, or spring)
  • Defects resulting from misuse, negligence, or abuse
  • Damage from attempted repair by an unqualified individual
  • Flooding or condensation caused by the crown being left out of position, including thermal shock from sudden exposure to cold environments
  • Failure of Tritium GTLS pressurized glass vials (due to the nature of the technology, these cannot be warranted against breakage, although failures are extremely rare)
  • Use of the watch in a bath or shower, as this can damage the seals

Important: The GTLS tritium vials in some watches are specialist components and should not be removed or tampered with by anyone unfamiliar with this technology.
